The New Dell XPS 15Z
A few of you might still recall the Dell Adamo that came out a couple years ago. Some electronic experts stated that its failure have been written even before it was ever released. It was almost too fashionable to be simply a Dell computer.
Recently, Dell had been preparing to release their new product, the XPS 15Z which is hopefully the gadget that will save Dell. It has been recently open in the market on May 24, 2011 and it been listed at $999.
The XPS comes with a potent 750 GB hard drive, Intel dual core processor, and a beautiful 15-inch screen. The processor will be available at 2.9 GHz and at 3.4 GHz. According to Dell, the battery will be able to lasts in eight consecutive hours.
Dell is launching this product, hoping that the customers will forget about Adam’s failure. Adamo was extremely expensive and went against everything that Dell had been standing for fax machine repairs sydney. Since its start, Dell had strived to offer the best computers at affordable prices. Adamo was neither of those statements. This led to the confusion of many loyal customers, and it probably drove away potential new ones.
When Adamo’s first released, the list was at $1,999; that is double the price of a Macbook. Indeed, customers that usually purchased Dell products were astonished at that elevated price tag.
The company followed with numerous meetings, they finally recognized that releasing Adamo had been a mistake since the beginning. This is where the first ideas about the XPS were thrown-in. Dell started to redesign their lines of computers and decided to get rid of Studio line and well, of course, Adamo. The product designers at Dell have stated that they do not regret building the Adamo computer. Even though it ended removed from their listings, the knowledge that they acquired while developing, stays with them for future products.
Dell left with the XPS line, Alienware, and Inspiron. The Alienware line caters to video-gamers, the Inspiron line caters to families, and the XPS caters to those who want to be in style yet do not want to spend too much money.
The XPS 15Z goes back to Dell originally believed in, offering the buyer a reasonably priced laptop that remains fashionable and with a beautiful design. Despite the fact that made a mistake, Dell was able to recognize it, straighten it, and move forward.
